Interconnected Medieval Worlds

Interconnected Medieval Worlds, the second conference in our program, will take place on Friday Oct. 13 and Saturday Oct. 14 in the McCune Conference Room of the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center on the UC Santa Barbara campus. The keynote speaker is Peter Frankopan, Professor of Global History at Oxford University.   A complete program and a flyer are now available.

The UCSB Faculty Club is holding a block of rooms at a conference rate of $199./ night. Directions for reserving a room are available here.

A very limited number of travel subsidies are available for UC faculty and graduate students.

Faculty and graduate students from northern California (UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, UC Merced, UC Berkeley) are eligible to receive up to $450 and faculty and graduate students from southern California (UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Riverside, UC Irvine) are eligible to receive up to $350 to support travel and lodging. Applications must be received by October 1.
